We at Authentic Paella Catering Ltd use 100% compostable and edible (yep edible!) products to serve our food in and on.

If you really want to, when you have finished your meal, you can eat the plate, cone, bowl, and napkin; you can even eat the fork, or spoon (they are a bit tougher being made from potato starch and are harder to chew). If you don’t want to do this (and it does taste a little bland) then the product will decompose completely in water in 7 days and do likewise in a composter in around 60 days leaving nothing but natural organic matter behind. In fact after use, the products can be used immediately for livestock feed or can be composted to produce natural fertiliser for plants and trees.

All the serving products we use are rigid and have excellent thermal shielding properties so this signals an end to the floppy paper plate, snapped fork, or burnt hand on cup, experience.

Due to the nature of convenience food service, we cannot completely eradicate waste, but by committing to take an extra step and use 100% compostible products for serving, we can, and will, make a difference.
